If you haven’t heard of the indie horror hit called “Slender” (sometimes Slender: The Eight Pages), you must have been living under a rock these past few months or something. Its absurdly plain graphics and low production values showcase the fact that simple minimalism can sometimes deliver the most absolutely freaking heart-pounding horror experiences ever conceived.
Turns out the game’s getting a sequel, billed as Slender: The Arrival. I’m shuddering just thinking about it. Unlike the original game, which is totally free, The Arrival is going to have much more robust graphics and will be a commercial game produced with assistance from Blue Isle Studios (not the studio that recently emerged once again from the woodwork). We don’t know much about the game yet, but creator Mark “AgentParsec” Hadley released a pair of screenshots to inspire our curiosity.
Hop inside for the screens, and to check out a video of the original game if you haven’t seen it in action already.
