Wii U Games Will Include ‘eManuals’

Retail games have been stepping steadily away from paper instruction manuals of late to decrease manufacturing costs and the resources required to ship physical games, and the trend’s going to continue with Wii U. The Rabbids Land instruction booklet, which recently arrived at Game Informer HQ, doesn’t contain much, but explains that you’ll be able to access a full digital manual by pressing the Home button, and can bring up the instructions on the Wii U GamePad.

While we of course miss the detailed paper manuals of the 80s and 90s, the rather large storage capacity of Wii U’s optical discs and the excellent display on the GamePad could mean that we get the same level of detail in digital form… assuming developers go the extra mile, of course!

I actually like this, as long as we don’t have to pay extra for the manual, its a good idea!
