Nintendo PR Lists Super Smash Bros. as ‘Coming Soon’ on Nintendo 3DS

We know Nintendo’s been working on a new entry in the Super Smash Bros. franchise for Nintendo 3DS, but we haven’t seen or heard anything specific about the game since its announcement other than that Namco-Bandai will be teaming up with Masahiro Sakurai to help with development on the new cross-platform 3DS/Wii U entry. However, with our first real glimpse at the game just around the corner at the incoming E3 2013 show, Nintendo has listed Super Smash Bros. as “coming soon” for Nintendo 3DS.

In other news, as of tomorrow it will have been two years since the Nintendo 3DS launched in North America. Nintendo listed a number of

Normally I wouldn’t really read into things like this, but that they’re specifically listing games that are actually coming within the year and counting Smash Bros. among them is pretty encouraging.

That Smash Bros. is before Pokémon X & Y in a list that’s otherwise ordered chronologically? Also encouraging.

We’ll find out more about the upcoming game at E3.

Link’s head is at a very odd angle. I do hope he will be okay.

I will wait until E3 although this does look promising.

idk the head and legs on link are aligned right for the strike… the torso is just way off

      I don’t think it’s “wrong” at all.
It’s just a weird angle, but his arm and his shield are really the only thing twisted in front of him. The rest of his body is covered, but appears straight.

What’s really wrong with this image: that’s one bizarre angle for his sword hand to be at relative to his sword arm.

according to my very legit sources guys, we will indeed have smash bros released for 3ds before the wii u version. the 3ds version will release this year, since nintendo decided to put a larger team and complete the 3ds version as soon as possible. the wii u version will be released at the end of next year. but no worries, as consolation it seems like nintendo will release at least 4 highly important titles this year that have not been announced for wii u, including the next main entry to the 3-d super mario series. i’ve also been told that it will rain fire, bears will speak english, and we will soon shi* bricks!. it’s legit i tell ya.
